Występuje wtedy, gdy dwie czynności wykonywane są równocześnie przez ten sam podmiot.

Le gérondif is used to express that one action is occurring at the same time as a second.

* Ils se sont promenés en chantant. - They walked while singing.


Zasady tworzenia gérondif :
EN + participe présent

Tworzy się poprzez- "usunięcie" z 1 osoby liczby mnogiej końcówki ons i zastąpienie jej końcówką ant, przed dodajemy też en. Jeśli pogmatwałam- podaję przykład:

nous allons...... en allant

Elle arrive en courant.
(Przybywa biegnąc)

Exceptions:

avoir - en ayant
être - en étant
savoir - en sachant
